Brake System Service and Brake Disc Replacement in Belgrade

A vehicle arrived at our auto service in Belgrade, Serbia, with a complaint of vibrations when braking. The driver noticed that the vehicle started to vibrate when pressing the brake pedal, so we carried out a complete diagnostic inspection.

Since braking vibrations can have several possible causes, we started the inspection by checking the wheel balancing. This allowed us to rule out one of the common causes of vibration. The wheel balancing was correct, so we continued with a detailed inspection of the braking system.

At first glance, the brake discs and pads appeared to be in good condition and showed no obvious signs of excessive wear. However, during a more detailed inspection, we discovered that the left brake disc was deformed. This deformation was the actual cause of the vibrations during braking.

After explaining the problem to the customer, we proceeded with the necessary repairs.

The following work was carried out:

• brake system diagnostics;
• wheel balancing inspection;
• identification of the deformed left brake disc;
• replacement of the brake discs;
• replacement of the brake pads;
• rechecking the wheel balancing;
• test drive after the repair.

After completing the repairs, the vibrations during braking completely disappeared. The vehicle was inspected once again and returned to the customer in proper working condition.

It is important to understand that brake discs and pads can look perfectly acceptable visually while a deformed brake disc can still cause significant vibrations during braking. For this reason, any vibration in the steering wheel, brake pedal or vehicle body should be properly diagnosed.
